Villa Unaweza is located in a quiet village called Matemwe – the village where Zanzibar ends.
Matemwe is a charming village on the northeastern coast of Zanzibar, known for its white beaches and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. It is an ideal place to relax away from the tourist crowds, where locals still practice traditional fishing. While walking around, you can admire the wooden dhow boats and experience the authentic culture of Zanzibar.

Villa Unaweza is a unique place, whose name in Swahili means ‘you can’, reflecting our philosophy – we believe that everyone can experience unforgettable moments here. Styled in Zanzibar’s traditional design, our villa is a true oasis of tranquility, just 50 meters from the most beautiful beaches of Zanzibar. The interiors are filled with local accents, with furniture crafted by local carpenters that reflect the authentic spirit of the island. This is a place where you can truly feel the African atmosphere.
Accomodation
Our villa features 10 carefully designed double rooms, with the option of adding an extra bed. Each room is designed in a traditional African style, giving it a unique atmosphere and charm. The rooms are equipped with a double bed with a mosquito net, air conditioning, a safe, a refrigerator, and a tea and coffee-making set. The spacious bathroom is fitted with a modern shower, two elegant sinks, and a high-quality set of toiletries, ensuring comfort and relaxation.
The apartments include air conditioning, fridge, safety deposit box, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities. There is a spacious bathroom with toiletries and towels.
Ocean’s sandy shores
Some rooms offer a view of the sandy ocean shore and stunning sunsets. The remaining rooms overlook a charming garden and lush tropical vegetation, providing tranquility and relaxation.

Our restaurant serves exquisite dishes from Zanzibari cuisine, where flavors combine the traditions of East Africa with exotic spices.
